Through the generous support of our community, we have been able to provide 40,000 brand-new fleece blankets to children and families in need across the Sioux Empire and beyond. This initiative relies entirely on the kindness of others to make it possible, and we are so grateful for every bit of help we receive.
As we approach the holidays, we’ve received a request for over 1,300 blankets to be delivered to schools in the Sioux Falls School District the week of December 16th. We are urgently seeking donations of fleece fabric, funds, and/or completed blankets to help meet this need.
The outpouring of support from our community has been incredible, and we truly believe that together, we can make a difference for so many this season.

Help shape the future of the Sioux Falls School District by completing a survey about the most desired qualities of the next superintendent. The SFSD School Board is using an educational leadership search firm to gather input. https://hyasurvey.com/SiouxFalls

We have openings at our CLC if you need after school care.

One of our 5th grade classes had their last day at Starbase today. STARBASE is a 5-day program, 25-hour academy, where students and teachers attend one day a week for 5 weeks during the school year. They provide innovative educational programs in unconventional settings that focus on science, technology, engineering, math and teamwork skills. Einstein even made an appearance.

You are invited to our Family Culture Night - Friday, November 22nd, 5-7 pm. Experience many of the cultures represented at LBA. Feel free to bring your favorite cultural dish & items to share or wear your traditional clothing from your country. Flyers were sent home with students today. Please call the office if you have any questions. We hope to see you there!

In this season of thankfulness, we are thankful for our Community Partners who Show Up for KIDS at LBA.
